????Slow Cooked Beef Stew????

Here I am using beef shin which I diced up into roughly 1 inch cubes, but there are varies different cuts of beef which can be used for slow cooking like chuck, brisket, skirt etc..

⬇️Nutritional values for half recipe⬇️

Calories: 555kcal
Protein: 65g
Carbs: 21g
Fats: 21g

????Method:
•Sear beef on a very high heat using an oil with a high smoke point (vegetable/canola/sunflower/grapeseed)
•Add salt and pepper and once nicely coloured, set beef aside (do not wash off the sticky bits at the bottom, that is all FLAVOUR)
•In the same pot sweat some chopped onion, garlic, celery and carrot until slightly coloured
•Add a tbsp of tomato puree and a tbsp of flour and mix in until properly combined.
•Add the beef back to the mixture, 500ml of beef stock, a can (400g) of chopped tomato, few dashes of worcestershire sauce and a handful of chopped parsley
•Stir everything to combine, cover and simmer on a low gentle heat for 2 hours
•After 2 hours add some cubed potato, cover and simmer for a final 1 hour
•Check to make sure that the beef is super tender, if not continue cooking until it is (times may vary depending on the heat, the type of meat used and how big the pieces are)
•Plate up and enjoy with some bread/pasta/rice/or on its own ????????
